Women’s lack of control over resources, control over their body and sexuality perpetuates vicious cycle of violence against women increasing incidences of domestic violence, rape and subsequently relegating to subordinate position in society.
Data shows that women’s subordination and deepened poverty is an outcome of the denial to enjoy their economic, social and cultural rights. Increasing women’s access to productive and political resources, enhance decision making within the household and beyond.
